Margaret is a Consultant to and strategic partner of Family Office Exchange (FOX), and is president of MCV Consulting, an organizational development firm specializing in the design and facilitation of strategic planning, leadership development and multi-stakeholder engagement programs for the public, private and non-profit sectors. Her work has taken her throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa and Israel working with a wide range of clients, including: Abbott Laboratories, Amegy Bank, the Australian Department of Finance, Center for Houston’s Future, Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents, FedEx, Main Line Health Systems, San Francisco Opera, Shell Oil, the South African Government, and a wide range of non-profits, family offices, foundations and NGOs. Prior to forming MCV Consulting in 2001, Margaret served as a principal at Generon Consulting, a boutique management consulting firm in Boston affiliated with MIT’s Sloan School of Management. She is a founding member of Headwaters Leadership Group, a national consortium of independent organizational development consultants based in Denver, Colorado. Before entering the organizational development field, she gained valuable international public relations experience designing and managing comprehensive communication programs for a varied client base that included banking, healthcare, government and arts and entertainment. Her background also includes several years as staff liaison for the Governor’s Office of the State of Tennessee working with legislators and community leadership statewide. Margaret earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management. Additionally, she is a graduate of Sotheby’s Works of Art Program in New York City, a Masters program in the appraisal of European and American fine and decorative arts. She is certified in the methodology of scenario planning through the Global Business Network in Amsterdam, in leadership development through the Society for Organizational Learning in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and in group facilitation through Interaction Associates, also in Cambridge. In her spare time, Margaret is a commissioned artist whose body of work includes mixed media abstract works on paper and canvas. Very active in her community, she is a member of the Advisory Board of the Houston Salvation Army, the Executive Council of Houston Wilderness, the Board of Directors of the Collaborative for Children and the Board of Directors of The Park People.
