Yann Borgstedt

Yann Borgstedt is an entrepreneur who manages different businesses in Real Estate Development, Relocation and Storage in England, France and Switzerland. He studied in the USA and then worked for a VC fund for 6 years in London. He is also a YPO member in Geneva and London and involved in the YPO Economic Development Network and Disadvantaged Kids Network.

Yann started in 2005 the foundation Smiling Children which focus on women empowerment in Afghanistan, Palestine, Israel and Morocco. In 2009 he launched the program Womenchangemakers.org to identify Social entrepreneurs with innovative solutions to women empowerment after having been inspired by Ashoka. He is part of ASN (Ashoka Support Network) in Switzerland and France working with two fellows (Abdellah Aboulharjan and Francois Marty). He is also a board member of the CFND (Center for New Diplomacy) and collaborates with Videre an NGO that focuses on documenting human rights violations around the world through cameras.

   
   

Ashley Crossley

Ashley is Head of the Wealth Management Department of Baker & McKenzie in London.  He is a member of the Firm's Global Wealth Management Steering Committee and Chair of the European and Middle East Steering Committee.  He is a co-ordinating partner for the firm's global banking relationships.  He is qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor and specialises in advising high net worth individuals, families and International Banks on cross-border tax and trust structuring, asset-protection, multi-jurisdictional investment structures and contentious and non-contentious trust work.  He advises also both clients and governmental organisations on OECD compliance and exchange of information.  Ashley leads the Russian/CIS practice and also has a significant practice in the Middle East.  Ashley has particular experience in establishing private trust companies and providing advice on and establishing tax efficient venture capital and pre-IPO tax structures. Ashley's recent experience includes acting on one of the largest limited partnership structures in the Far East worth £5.3 billion, advice to some of the world's wealthiest Russian/CIS entrepreneurs listing their companies on the London Stock Exchange and tax and trust planning for leading families in the Middle East and the application of Sharia law.

   
   

Mark Haynes Daniell

Mr. Daniell is a former Director of Bain & Company, one of the world’s leading strategy consulting firms, where he worked for more than 20 years with some of the world’s wealthiest families and their businesses around the world. Mr. Daniell holds a juris doctor degree from the Harvard Law School, an Honours degree in jurisprudence (B.A. and M.A.) from Oxford University, and a B.A. degree from Amherst College.

In addition to authoring five books on wealth management, business strategy and global affairs, Mr. Daniell is a frequent expert guest commentator on business and economic affairs for CNBC, the BBC, CNN, and Channel NewsAsia.

Sara Hamilton

Sara Hamilton is the founder and CEO of Family Office Exchange (FOX), the definitive source of information and best practices associated with the business of managing family wealth across generations. In 2009 and 2010, Ms. Hamilton was named as one of the “Top 50 Women in Wealth Management” by Wealth Manager. She serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Wealth Management and Trusts and Estates as well as a Founding Board of the Chicago Global Donors Network.

Prior to founding FOX, Ms. Hamilton worked in marketing and strategy at Harris Bank and AT&T Information Systems. Ms. Hamilton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of North Florida.

 
 

Etienne Eichenberger

Etienne Eichenberger is an expert in family philanthropy and co-founder and executive director of wise – wealthy individuals – social entrepreneurs. As an organization, wise accompanies donors and their families in fulfilling their philanthropic aspirations. Its tailor-made services include strategic engagement for donors, selection of portfolio of social entrepreneurs as well as monitoring of philanthropic engagement of donors.

Previously Etienne has been Senior Manager at the Centre for Strategic Insight (part of the World Economic Forum), fellow at the Schmidheiny Group‟s Avina Foundation and co-founder of Casa Alianza Suisse. Etienne hold a gradutate in economics and a master in International Relations of StGallen University. He hold as well a certificate in Project Management of Geneva University. He is Swiss, married and father of two daughters.

 
 

Charles B. Grace III

Charles B. Grace III, senior consultant for Family Office Exchange (FOX), has 20 years of private wealth management experience, including 10 years at Ashbridge Investment Management LLC, a $1 billion multi-family office and single family office serving individuals and families with significant wealth. His responsibilities included many facets of wealth management, including client relationships, business development, membership on the firm’s investment committee, and corporate management and governance.

Most recently, Charlie was managing director and chairman of the executive committee for Ashbridge. He has been quoted in various publications, including the The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and Worth magazine, and presented at many conferences focused on private investors and family offices. 

Charlie also served as a vice president for Fuji Bank, focusing on the drafting and implementation of policies covering legal risks faced by the bank as well as operational and investment risks for all trading and lending for the New York office. Earlier in his career, he worked as a research analyst for Lloyd George Management and research associate for the European-American Chamber of Commerce.

Charlie received a B.A. and M.A. in history from Bates College and the American University, respectively, as well as a J.D. from the Washington College of Law. 

 
 

Guy Ingram

Guy co-founded Albourne Partners in 1994 and currently heads its Research Group, responsible for evaluation of hedge fund managers and assessing the prospects for various hedge fund strategies. Previously Guy was directly responsible for analysis of individual hedge funds, portfolio construction and development of Albourne‟s risk management capabilities. Prior to that, Guy worked with Simon Ruddick at Westminster Equity, where he was involved initially in modelling, pricing and risk management of various OTC equity derivatives, and latterly in development and implementation of various hedge fund trading strategies. Education: 1st class honours degree in Economics and Politics, Bristol University, 1989.

   
   

Philippe Parmenon

Philippe Parmenon, Head of Sovereign Wealth Funds, Family Offices & Holding Companies within Cross Asset Solution joined Société Générale in 1992. He had positions in equity capital markets, M&A and Strategic Equity Transactions which he has managed since 2005. He has participated in a number of large and strategic transactions with European clients, corporates, financial institutions, private equity firms… In July 2009 he has taken the lead of the team dedicated to Family Offices, Holding Companies and Sovereigns in the cross asset solution division of Global Markets. He is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE.

   
   

Kripa Sethuraman

Kripa Sethuraman leads Family Office Exchange’s international client relationship management and content development efforts as Managing Partner, International.

Prior to joining Family Office Exchange, Kripa was Senior Director for the Corporate Executive Board, Europe Financial Services practice based in London, covering the four core programs in commercial, retail, and private banking, and banking operations.

Kripa was responsible for new business development and member management across this constituency since 2001, and managed the Europe team. She specialized in presenting research and best practices from the Business Banking Board and the VIP Forum, and facilitating strategic workshops, along with a focus on building the international face of the practice within Financial Services.

Prior to joining The Corporate Executive Board (UK) Ltd., Kripa served as a Commercial and Economic Analyst and Speechwriter for the Embassy of South Korea in Washington DC, and worked in management consulting, with a specialization in management-union work agreements across industries.

Kripa holds a Masters in Economics degree from the London School of Economics and a B.Sc. from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

   
   

Christian Stadermann

Christian Stadermann is Managing Director of HQ Trust since 2009. Before taking on this responsibility he has carried out different management functions with Credit Suisse in Zurich 2003 - 2009, being responsible for the German desk of the UHNWI platform „Investment Partners‟ in the end.

From 1993-2000 he was with Deutsche Bank AG as an assistant to the chairman, in equity sales as well as with first managerial responsibilities within private banking. At the head office of Sal. Oppenheim in Cologne, he looked after big German family wealth from 2000 – 2003.

Christian Stadermann has studied economics and history in Munich and Pisa (M.A.) as well as at the London School of Economics (M.Sc. (Econ.) in European Studies). While working he did additional studies in Financial Planning at the European Business School in Östrich-Winkel (CFP).

   
   

Christopher E. Steckel

Christopher joined the tax & legal department of KPMG in Munich in 1994. In August 2000 he joined the German Tax Center of Excellence in New York, where he advised multinational clients in US/German M&A and international tax planning for both corporate and individual clients. In October 2002, Christopher moved to Zürich/ Switzerland to set up the German Tax & Legal Center. In 2007, he became COO of KPMG's Tax Practice for the EMA Region. In addition, Christopher is in charge of the International Private Client & Family Office Group for KPMG Europe LLP and the EMA region. In this capacity, he currently coordinates and leads a number of global tax amnesty projects. He has a degree in law from University of Munich/Germany and the admittance to the Munich bar in 1994.

   
   

Edouard Thijssen

Edouard Thijssen is co-founder and CEO of TrustedFamily.net, a secure communication and collaboration platform for Families in Business, that is now used by family offices and family businesses from all over the world.

Edouard is a next generation member of the Aliaxis family business. He founded TrustedFamily with Edouard Janssen (Solvay family) to enable their families and family businesses to improve their family governance and they way they communicate with their long-terms stakeholders. While working on this project, he realized that many other families shared the same needs.

Edouard graduated from Solvay Business School with a Bachelor in Management Sciences in 2007. He has a strong technology and entrepreneurial background. Since a very young age, he has been passionate about technology and the web, successively being involved in various IT projects.

   
   

Penny Webb

Penny Webb is founder of Familias & Company, a specialist consulting firm dedicated to Developing Leaders and Building Relationships. Familias & Company’s services operate across three key areas: Executive Assessment, Coaching & Development; Family Business Consulting; and Business Mediation. Penny has developed and delivered Executive Development Programmes for Europe’s leading business schools and in Entrepreneurial Leadership at INSEAD.

Penny joined Whitehead Mann Group as a partner and The Change Partnership as a director in April 2002. She went on to found the Centre for Family Business Excellence at Whitehead Mann and is a regular speaker and practioner for family businesses worldwide.

Penny has a BSc in International Relations, an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA in Business Informatics. She is also an accredited mediator and a certified psychotherapist and counselor. Penny is Chairman of the Institute for Family Business Advisory Board in the UK. She is also a trustee for Wellchild UK, an advisor to Full Stop campaign and a non-executive director for a family business in the Middle East. Penny is also a senior associate of the world’s leading family business advisory group, FBCG, in the U.S.
