Our bond portfolio research and management process is built around these central tenets: We believe in researching and following the municipal bond issues we recommend; our portfolio research and management process starts with analyzing issuer credit. We rely greatly on our long established credit research department. This expertise, in part, helps uncover values in this sector. We believe in active portfolio management. We believe a portfolio of individual issues laddered over an intermediate time period reduces interest rate risk substantially and produces superior returns.
